European football: Barça’s perfect start to the season ends with humiliation at Osasuna | European club football

Croatian striker Ante Budimir scored two goals in support Osasuna Achieve a surprise 4-2 home win over the league leaders Barcelona and handed the visitors their first defeat of this La Liga season on Saturday.

Substitute Abel Bretones scored the fourth goal with a brilliant long-range effort before Lamine Yamal scored a late consolation goal with a shot from the edge of the box. Barça leads the table with 21 points, four ahead of second-place Real Madrid, which still has a game in hand and faces Atlético Madrid on Sunday.

Dusan Vlahovic scored two goals in support Juventus 3-0 win Genoa and rise to the top of Serie A overnight and overtake them Interwho had previously briefly been at the top after a brace from Lautaro Martínez helped them to a 3-2 win at Udinese.

When Juventus were awarded a penalty for a handball after half-time, Vlahovic converted from the penalty spot before scoring again from a tight angle in the 55th minute. Substitute Francisco Conceiçao sealed the win with a low one-touch finish at the end.

The match in Genoa was played behind closed doors after crowd violence erupted during the hosts’ Coppa Italia derby against Sampdoria, leaving more than 50 people injured. Juventus, which has drawn 0-0 in its last three league games, leads the table with 12 points from six games, one point ahead of Turin, which hosts Lazio on Sunday.

Juventus coach Thiago Motta believes there has been too much criticism of Vlahovic. “I think you pay too much attention to one player,” Motta said. “He was always very good. I understand the expectations and needs of a striker at this level. But as I said from the beginning, he is a positive leader who helps a lot.

“I’m happy because he scored, but I was also happy when he didn’t. He needs to improve and be more connected to the team because he is an important player in many aspects of our game. He’s fine and needs to keep working like he’s doing.”

Lautaro Martínez scored and helped on either side of the half-time break Inter to a 3-2 win Udinese in Serie A as the defending champions recovered from a three-game winless run in all competitions.

Davide Frattesi gave Inter the lead after 43 seconds from a superb low cross from Matteo Darmian, before Udinese defender Christian Kabasele equalized with a header in the 35th minute.

However, Martínez restored the visitors’ lead when he steered the ball over the line in first-half stoppage time, making it 3-1 shortly after half-time. Lorenzo Lucca scored the next goal for Udinese in the 83rd minute.

Inter have 11 points, level with Milan, who beat Lecce 3-0 on Friday, and Torino.

Later on Saturday, Atalanta got a point against 10 men Bologna in the 90th minute thanks to Lazar Samardzic. In Germany, the leaders of the Bundesliga are Bayern Munich1-1 draw at home against the champions, Bayer Leverkusen.
