Erin Andrews of FOX Sports comments on the drama surrounding the Dallas Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb

The Dallas Cowboys will begin their 2024 season on FOX, taking on the Cleveland Browns on the road in the network’s “Game of the Week.” It will be the first of many games featuring America’s Team that will air on FOX throughout the season.

Since the team will be featured frequently on the network, FOX Sports’ Erin Andrews knows she has to do her due diligence and research the team thoroughly.

Speaking to Forbes.com, Andrews shared her initial thoughts on what the network has in mind.

“Some of the ones we’re keeping an eye on with our broadcast team are – obviously we have a busy schedule as the Dallas Cowboys – they’ve got to work on getting CeeDee Lamb’s contract done,” Andrews said. “I know they’re going to do that. They have a new defensive coordinator (Mike Zimmer) and the last time I saw Dallas was the last time anyone else saw them, and that was their home loss to the Packers (in the playoffs).”

Of course, there is also the contract drama surrounding CeeDee Lamb that has not yet been resolved, and Andrews is aware of the importance of this connection to the Cowboys’ offense.

“The connection between Dak and CeeDee wasn’t great that day,” Andrews said of the Cowboys’ 48-32 loss to the Packers last season. “Dak had a great year. How is he doing this year? There’s a lot of talk about it. Is he going to renew his contract in Dallas? You could close your eyes and come up with 8,000 storylines for the Cowboys, and that’s why we love having them.”

The Cowboys will also be seen in high-profile matchups on FOX, with reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3 and the Detroit Lions in Week 6.

So get used to Andrews sharing her thoughts on the Cowboys as the season progresses.
