Epstein-linked Bill Gates complains he has been “the subject of misinformation” and warns of the dangers of climate change despite owning four private jets

Bill Gates railed against being “subject to misinformation” and warned that humanity must do more to combat climate change – even though he owns four private jets.

The Microsoft founder, who has a hard time forgetting his past association with Jeffrey Epstein, made the comments during an appearance on NBC’s Today program to promote his new Netflix series about artificial intelligence, disinformation and malaria.

“I’m very fortunate to be able to work on AI and global health,” Gates, 68, said on the show “The Future With Bill Gates.”

“Misinformation is where I have been a victim of misinformation myself. I have spoken to Lady Gaga, who was perhaps even worse.”

Pop icon Gaga is a guest on Gates’ new show – and shares her thoughts on the rumors from the early days of her career that she was secretly a man.

Gates, who owns a fleet of four private jets, was also asked about climate change in an interview with Today.

When asked if his grandchildren had encouraged him in his push to “get things right” regarding the climate crisis, he said: “Oh, definitely.”

“My first grandchild is actually here in New York City and couldn’t be cuter. She’s about a year old now.

“And we’re not making enough progress, you know, and the damage is accumulating over time.”

“The need to innovate – I’ve met a lot of young activists who are very harsh about the fact that we’re not doing enough. I found that inspiring and motivating.”

“There are almost too many concerns right now,” added Gates, whose current net worth is estimated at $138.6 billion.

“There are wars, there are interest payments. It is a time when it will be challenging but also important to make sure we choose the right things and set our priorities.”

Gates was not asked about his own carbon footprint from using fossil fuel-guzzling private jets, which he has previously defended by saying he wants to reduce his carbon footprint in other ways.

The technology magnate had previously told the BBC that he was “not part of the problem” because he pays a lot of money to Climeworks – a company that offsets carbon dioxide emissions for a monthly fee.

Gates also spoke about artificial intelligence, revealing that he uses the technology to summarize a meeting or a book he doesn’t have time to read, and even to write speeches.

“It can even write poems and songs in surprisingly creative ways,” he said.

“It’s so powerful. It’s the first technology that’s evolving very quickly and there are no limits,” Gates added.

The Microsoft founder is also associated with Jeffrey Epstein – not least through a book published in the summer in which he claims that Epstein was once “the brightest star” in the financier’s circle.

Epstein had already targeted Gates in 2010, when he and fellow billionaire Warren Buffett launched the charity campaign “The Giving Pledge,” in which they promised to donate 99 percent of their wealth.

For Epstein, her charitable initiative was a potential new “way to make money” and restore his public image, according to the new biography “Billionaire, Nerd, Savior, King: Bill Gates and His Quest to Shape Our World.”

This would allow Epstein to clear his name after he was convicted of procuring underage girls in 2008, serving a short prison sentence and registering as a sex offender.

In the book, which was published on August 13, New York Times Journalist Anupreeta Das writes that Epstein then began “to weasel his way into Gates’ orbit,” with spectacular results.

The two men became friends while working on a healthcare fund for billionaires, with Gates even calling Epstein “my buddy.”

Buffett and Gates announced that they would donate their combined fortune of $155 billion through the charity, encouraging other billionaires to donate the majority of their wealth to charity.

Epstein’s outrageous lifestyle was an “adventure” for the nerd Gates, who resented his crowded life with his wife, who was committed to monogamy, Das writes.

Emails between the two men even mentioned Gates visiting one of Epstein’s homes to get “Big Macs,” by which some meant young girls.

Gates, 68, denies most of the allegations made in the book, saying it was based “almost entirely on second- and third-hand hearsay and anonymous sources.”

Gates’ ex-wife Melinda said Bill’s involvement with Epstein – whom she called “despicable” – ultimately led to their divorce.
