Emmy Awards 2024: The complete winners list

The 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards are over, and “Hacks” provided the biggest surprise of the evening: As a comedy series, it won ahead of “The Bear,” which broke its own record for the most Primetime Emmys won by a comedy series in a single year with a total of 11 awards.

In the drama category, FX’s “Shōgun,” the historical epic set in Japan based on the James Clavell novel, had a big night, taking home a whopping 18 Emmys, including drama series. At last week’s Creative Arts Emmys, the series had already broken the record for most Emmys won by a series in a single year, so Sunday’s awards added to that tally.

Also having a big night was the miniseries “Baby Reindeer,” Netflix’s dark British drama about a bartender and aspiring comedian named Donny Dunn who is pursued by an eccentric woman he meets in the pub where he works. The series won the top prize in the category, and creator Richard Gadd won for screenplay and lead role in a miniseries. Also taking home an acting award was Jessica Gunning, who plays Martha, the woman who pursues his character. “Baby Reindeer” is based on Gadd’s autobiographical one-man show of the same name.

Here are the winners, including several previously announced at the Creative Arts Emmys.
