Elizabeth Olsen says Natasha Lyonne doesn’t need her MCU advice

WandaVision And Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Star Elizabeth Olsen is usually willing to offer advice to new actors entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, Olsen believes that she Three daughters Co-star Natasha Lyonne needs no wise words for her MCU debut in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.




Talk to GamesRadar+Olsen was asked if she could give Lyonne advice for her first MCU film in First steps. However, Olsen decided against it, believing Lyonne “can forge her own path” when entering the superhero-heavy cinematic universe and dealing with its uncompromising pressures. “No, she doesn’t need advice. She can forge her own path in the world. She’s a very tough girl. I think she knows she can handle any situation,” Olsen said.


Lyonne joined First steps last May in an unknown role after notable features in Orange is the new black, Russian doll And Poker face. Olsen has been known to offer advice to MCU newbies in the past. Last year, he suggested that new actors entering the film universe should only sign on for one project and then leave. However, it seems that Olsen is confident that the acclaimed Lyonne will do well when she stars in the latest role. Fantastic Four Restart.

First steps opens the sixth phase of the MCU. Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in the film set in the 1960s alongside Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/Human Torch), Ralph Ineson (Galactus) and Julia Garner (Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer). Directed by Matt Shakman First steps is the latest attempt to The Fantastic Four franchise following the widely panned 2015 reboot starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan. Principal photography on the sequel, which received its official title during San Diego Comic-Con, began in July.


Meanwhile, Olsen’s future in the MCU remains a mystery. Olsen is known for her role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in several MCU projects, her last film appearance in the cinematic universe was in 2022 in Multiverse of Madnesswhere Scarlet died after the final sequences of the film. Despite her demise, Wanda could still have a place in the MCU, as Olsen gave the character a What if…? and reports claiming that she will reprise her role in Marvel’s upcoming Vision Quest Series.


Olsen stars alongside Lyonne and Carrie Coon in His three daughtersan upcoming drama about three estranged sisters who reunite to support their dying father in his final days while mending their broken relationships. Directed by Azazel Jacobs. His three daughters premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last September and has a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

His three daughters arrives in select theaters on September 6 before heading to Netflix for its streaming debut on September 20. First steps will be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
