This is Moss-Bachrach’s second Emmy nomination and second consecutive win for his role in The bear.

The actor plays Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (nicknamed “Cousin”) in the dramedy, which was a huge success. Last year Girl Alum won his first Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.

He told The Guardian that the awards ceremony was “one of the happiest evenings of my life,” but admitted that it also “stressed” him.

This was Yang’s fourth Emmy nomination for his role in Saturday Night Live. He joined the comedy sketch show in 2018 ahead of its 44th season, becoming the first Chinese-American cast member, and quickly became a popular part of the show.

“Lorne Michaels told me, ‘The worst thing you can do is think you’re meant to be,'” Yang, 33, told PEOPLE in 2021. “And I thought, ‘Yeah, that’s true.’ There’s a certain humility that has to remain constant.”

“And if I ever put pressure on myself to represent Asian people in any meaningful way, it would only get in the way if I thought it was my destiny to speak on behalf of multiple people,” he added.

Yang had several viral moments on SNL, including his portrayal of Fran Lebowitz and the sketch in which he dressed up as Elton John.

“First of all, I want to thank (series creator) Chris (Storer) for putting on this incredible show along with (executive producer) Joanna Calo and all of our amazing writers,” he began. “(Josh) Senior, Tyson (Bidner), Cooper and every single production person in every department are not only great at what they do, but they’re just people who don’t fail.”

“You know, we play these characters for several hours a day for several months of the year,” he continued. “But that’s your reality, the ups and the downs. So thank you for embracing us as we tell the story.”

He added: “And yet it was him who was there with Steve Martin. When I think back to the people who probably had the biggest influence on my life and my desire to do this or my understanding that someone could even have a career in acting or anything else, it was him.”

Rudd also stated that Martin was “the guy” in his life for many years and thanked Martin for making him the actor he is today.

“One thing is to kind of keep it cool and just not admit it so I can get through the day,” he said. “But also to stop and admit it and say, ‘Wow, how lucky am I? I’m with him now. Things like that don’t really happen in life. And in my life, it happened.'”
