Eagles win twice in Louisiana

Embry-Riddle won its morning game 3-0 against Texas Wesleyan and finished the day on Friday with a 3-1 win over host Loyola in New Orleans.

Game 1
In the first game of the day, the Eagles won the first set 25:20, the second 25:23 and finished the match with a 25:20 win in the last set.

As a team, Embry-Riddle posted a .233 batting average in the game and held TWU to a .113 hitting percentage.

Dalia Haase (Tucson, Arizona) led the Eagles with 11 kills and five blocks. Katie Roll (Missoula, Mont.) finished the game with 33 assists and four blocks and Lily Figgins (St. Charles, Missouri) led the team with 12 digs.

Game 2

After ERAU won the first set 25-19, the team lost the second 25-21, but came back and won the third 25-13 and the fourth 25-19, taking the game 3-1 from Loyola New Orleans.

Emma Barber (Goodyear, Ariz.) led Embry-Riddle with 14 kills in the second game and also added three blocks. Rolle and Haase both continued their strong starts to the season, with Rolle adding nine kills, four blocks and 34 assists. Haase added nine kills and led the team with six blocks, finishing with 11 on the day. Hello Louie (Honolulu, Hawaii) was great with three service aces behind the line.

Embry-Riddle will end his time in the French Quarter on Saturday morning when the Eagles face Webber International at 7 a.m. Arizona time.
