Eagles’ Jalen Hurts blows up the field after slippery night against the Packers

The Philadelphia Eagles certainly had a good night on Friday.

After months of waiting, the Eagles kicked off the 2024 National Football League against the Green Bay Packers. Philadelphia had a slow start to the competition as it tried to gain a foothold in Brazil, but was able to gain momentum in time and win the game.

The Eagles were ultimately able to win the encounter in Week 1 against the Packers with a score of 34:29. It was not easy at times. Both teams had to get used to the new field and players slipped at times.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts commented on the conditions on the field after the game.

“I mean, you all saw it was pretty tough to get traction,” Hurts said, as transcribed by ESPN’s Tim McManus. “It was definitely a challenge on that field. It’s not the type of field we normally play on. We’ve had a field like that before. They had to play on it, too. I’m just glad that as a team we found a way to deal with it and overcome it.”

Both teams struggled with difficult surfaces at times, but ultimately it was a great performance in the first National Football League game in Brazil. The Eagles came out on top and found a way to get the job done.

One of the big scares of the night, however, was when Packers quarterback Jordan Love went down in the final seconds of the game with what is believed to be a knee injury. Hopefully he is OK and can return to the field soon.
