Duke men prepare for the Adidas XC Challenge

DURHAM, NC – Duke Cross Country is back in action this weekend, competing in the Adidas XC Challenge at WakeMed Cross County Course in Cary on Friday, September 24.

LAST TIME

  • Duke opened the season with a win over North Carolina A&T. The Duke men scored 21 points and the women scored 25 points to finish first in their respective races.
  • PhD student Matthew Farrell was the first of the Blue Devil men with a time of 14:32.0 in the 4.7 km race. For the women it was classmate Abby Paczewski who took the lead in the 3.5 km run with a time of 12:55.4 – which was enough for third place in the field.
  • In total, Duke men and women combined to place in the top five six times. The full competition recap can be found HERE.

Next

Duke will compete with a split roster the weekend of October 4th: some team members will travel to the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational (Chicago, Illinois), while others will make the short trip to Greenville for the ECU Pirate Invitational.
