Two-sport athlete Bryce Boettcher came to the University of Oregon as a baseball player, but football was also important to him. In June, the outfielder called a Rawlings Gold Glove recipient from the Rawlings Baseball Company and the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Now he will end his time as a Duck with football as UO officially joined the Big Ten Conference. In the spring, Boettcher will join the Astros following the football season, per an agreement between the team and the university. He was selected No. 403 by the Houston team in July.

We talk to Boettcher, who grew up in Eugene, about the upcoming football season and his time as a dual-sport athlete at the university.
