Dolphins star Tyreek Hill hints at a possible trade as the deadline approaches

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill shared strange news on his personal social media account.

On Wednesday, Hill shared a tweet explaining that he woke up to trade news. This is what he had to say via his personal Twitter/X account.

It is currently unclear what this means. No trades have been reported recently, and that doesn’t mean Hill will be traded. Still, it’s worth noting that the Dolphins have struggled mightily so far this season.

The Dolphins have a 1-3 record and are currently on a three-game losing streak. Hill hasn’t been the elite wide receiver we’ve seen in recent years, and that has a lot to do with him being without his Pro Bowl quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa.

In Week 2 of the season against the Buffalo Bills, Tagovailoa suffered a concussion that ruled him out of contention and raised renewed questions about his playing future. As things stand, he could return as early as Week 8 when the team takes on the Arizona Cardinals.

With the Dolphins on a downward spiral and playing a carousel at quarterback, this could be the end of Hill’s time in Miami. The 30-year-old still has some juice left in him and Hill might benefit from a change of scenery.

This is his third year in Miami and they have yet to win a playoff game. Still, he found great success in more than two seasons at South Beach, recording 255 receptions on 317 targets, 3,726 yards, 21 touchdowns, a 14.6 yards per reception average and a 55.3 percent receiving success rate.

Hill may be the fastest man on the football field and is a perfect fit for head coach Mike McDaniel’s style of play. However, things didn’t go well due to the current play of the Dolphins’ quarterback corps.

In their most recent home loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football, Hill secured four of seven targets for 23 yards and ran three times for 19 yards in the Dolphins’ 31-12 loss.

Typically, wide receivers lose value after age 30, but that wasn’t the case with Hill. He has shown that he can still play at a high level, but he needs the right person to pass the ball to him.

While Tagovailoa isn’t a premier quarterback compared to the others in his own conference, it’s clear that he and Hill have unparalleled chemistry.

They complement each other well, and if Hill is subbed, it could impact Tagovailoa’s productivity when he returns.
