Dolphins sign former Browns quarterback

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Needing a quarterback, the Miami Dolphins have decided to sign former Browns quarterback Tyler Huntley.

It was an interesting September for Huntley.

He first made Cleveland’s official 53-man roster, was released shortly thereafter, and eventually re-signed to the practice squad by his former team, the Baltimore Ravens.

Now the South Florida native will return home as Miami needs to strengthen its quarterback position following the concussion suffered by starter Tua Tagovailoa in a 31-10 loss to Buffalo last Thursday.

According to head coach Mike McDaniel, there is no timetable for Tagovailoa’s return, but Tagovailoa has since stated that he has no plans to end his career despite having suffered several concussions during his NFL career.

The only other quarterback on Miami’s roster is Skylar Thompson, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 draft.
