Dodgers schedule: Sept. 24 game vs. Padres added to TBS, plus TV notes

The Dodgers’ series opener against the Padres on Tuesday, Sept. 24, has been added to TBS’s nationally televised schedule, the network announced Monday.

This game comes in the final week of the regular season and kicks off the Dodgers’ final home series of the year. Given how close the division is – Los Angeles enters Tuesday’s game three games ahead of the Diamondbacks and four games ahead of the Padres – this series against San Diego at Dodger Stadium could be quite important.

TBS broadcasts are not exclusive, meaning there will be a SportsNet LA broadcast of this game on September 24. This particular TBS game is available nationwide, but will not be broadcast in the Los Angeles television market. It will will be available at the San Diego market.

The national TV schedule for the season is almost complete, with only a few network decisions to be made. The Dodgers have four nationally televised games in September:

  • Sunday, September 1 at D-backs, 1:10 p.m. PT (Roku)
  • Friday, September 13 in Atlanta, 4:20 p.m. (Apple TV+)
  • Sunday, September 15 in Atlanta, 4:10 p.m. (ESPN)
  • Tuesday, September 25 vs. Padres, 7:10 p.m. (TBS, non-exclusive)

This Sunday marks the first Dodgers game on Roku, which has signed a multi-year deal for exclusive Sunday broadcasts that can be streamed for free.

September 13th is the Dodgers’ final Apple TV+ game of the season. If you’re subscribed to the two-month free offer for their final game on Apple TV+ (July 26th in Houston), you’ll still be able to catch that game in time without having to pay for another month.

ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball schedule has only one weekend left, September 22nd, and it’s hard to imagine that the Dodgers’ game against the Rockies that day will be the only national game on that day.

Fox has three remaining dates available for exclusive broadcasts that have not yet been announced: Thursdays, Sept. 12 and 19, and two games on Saturday, Sept. 28. The Dodgers have Sept. 12 off, and their Sept. 19 game against the Marlins starts early (10:40 a.m. PT) because they are traveling and have a home game the next day.

The Dodgers play the Rockies on Sept. 28, and it’s hard to imagine that being a Fox game, so the rest of the national television schedule is basically set.
