Dipika Kakar is back at work after a Caesarean section and announces the launch of her own fashion line
Dipika Kakar, who gave birth to her first child in July 2023, is ready to get back to work. Dipika gained immense popularity with her role ‘Simar’ in the hit series Sasural Simar kawhere she fell in love with her co-star Shoaib Ibrahim. Currently, Dipika has taken a break from acting to take care of her home and her little one. Recently, Dipika announced her new business plan.
Dipika Kakar ventures into a fashion line
After making a big name for herself in the world of glamour and glitz, Dipika stepped away from acting and even announced that she wanted to focus on her role as a homemaker. Later, Dipika clarified that she would return to television when the time was right. While fans waited for her return, the actress announced that she would soon launch her own clothing line.
In her latest YouTube vlog, Dipika revealed to her fans that she will be venturing into the fashion industry and launching her own clothing line that will focus on women’s wear. The actress added that she has been working hard to map out a plan for the same. Dipika and Shoaib also clarified that the clothing line will be in limited quantities and will be available online.
In the same vlog, Dipika revealed her excitement and nervousness. Her husband Shoaib is fully supporting her and is doing his best to contribute to Dipika’s new venture. The actress also revealed that she has limited time as she has to take care of her baby. While her fans are missing Dipika on the shows, the news about her new venture has created excitement among them.
Dipika Kakar previously founded a fashion label with her Nanad, Saba Ibrahim
This is not the first time Dipika has started her own fashion label. Previously, in 2017, before she married Shoaib Ibrahim, she founded Nanad, Saba. The label was named after the actress’ mother-in-law, Sitara, who inspired the venture. In an earlier interview with TOI, Dipika said it was her sister-in-law’s idea to a stylist. She was quoted as saying:
“The clothing line is named after our Ammi and she is the inspiration behind my clothing line. My sister-in-law was the one who gave me the idea of becoming a stylist. She told me that since I have a very different and elegant style, I could venture into a clothing line for girls who can wear the kind of clothes you wear. I enjoy playing with fabrics, colors, etc.”
Dipika Kakar’s life so far
Dipika Kakar fell in love with Shoaib Ibrahim while filming the series. Sasural Simar Ka. After dating for a few years, they got married in 2018 in Shoaib’s hometown Maudha in UP. In 2023, Shoaib and Dipika had their first child and named him Ruhaan. It is worth mentioning that after marriage, Dipika even changed her religion and converted to Islam.
