Diddy and Kim Porter’s children speak out against alleged memoirs

The Arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs for racketeering and sex trafficking has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world. The news has put the Bad Boy founder’s family and closest friends in the headlines. In the wake of the scandal, controversial memoirs have been released, allegedly by Diddy’s ex Kim Porterbecame an Amazon bestseller. “Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side…” contains diary entries she claims to have written during her relationship with the music mogul. However, there are clear doubts as to whether these are actually Porter’s words.

The book was published on September 6, shortly before Combs’ arrest. As previously reported by The rooton Monday, 16 September, The 54-year-old rap mogul was arrested in Manhattan by federal authorities. His indictment was unsealed the next morning, revealing charges of conspiracy to commit organized crime, sex trafficking, and interstate transportation for the purpose of prostitution. The charges against Combs include sexual abuse, physical abuse, bribery, and various drug offenses.

As the criticism and backlash against the book grows louder, Kim’s children Quincy Brown and Christian Jessie and D’Lila Combs published a statement about the alleged memoirs on social media.

“We have heard so many hurtful and false rumors about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as the tragic death of our mother, that we feel the need to speak out,” the statement said.

They directly questioned the validity of the project, stating that their mother had not written a book and that there was no secret manuscript in circulation.

“Claims that our mother has written a book are simply false. She has not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” they wrote. “Furthermore, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mother or her family is not a friend, nor does he have her best interests at heart.”

They also addressed the conspiracy theories surrounding her death that continue to circulate online, stating, “The cause of death has long been established. There was no foul play.” Porter’s children expressed how difficult it was for them to publicly mourn the loss of their mother, revealing, “Nothing has been the same since she died.” With strangers constantly voicing their opinions on their mother’s life and death, they were never given the respect to mourn her privately.

“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle out of the most tragic event of our lives,” they said. “Our mother should be remembered as the beautiful, strong, kind and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”

Erica Wolf, Sean Combs’ lawyer, also released a statement on the alleged memoirs, calling them “offensive” and disrespectful.

“Kim Porter’s memoir is fake. It is also offensive – a shameless attempt to profit from the tragedy. Chris Todd has no respect for Ms. Porter or her family, who deserve better,” Wolf said in a statement to The root“Contrary to the fabrications in his disgusting ‘memoirs,’ it is an established fact that Mrs Porter died of natural causes. May she rest in peace.”
