The timing couldn’t have been more special as the birth of their daughter coincided with the festival of Lord Ganesha, known for bringing good luck and removing obstacles. Just a day before Deepika went into labour, she and Ranveer were married at Mumbai’s famous Siddhivinayak Templewhere they asked for Bappa’s blessings before this life-changing moment.
Insiders reveal that mother and child are healthy and the family is overjoyed with the arrival of their little princess. This new chapter in Deepika and Ranveer’s life is a significant moment for the couple and their fans, who have been eagerly awaiting this news ever since the couple tied the knot in a fairytale ceremony in November 2018.
In February this year, Deepika (in her second trimester) and Ranveer announced on Instagram that they were expecting the baby in September, but did not reveal the exact date. However, recently, rumours started circulating that their baby would be born in the next few days. Ranveer, who was busy with his film commitments, flew back to the city to be by his wife’s side as she waited for the baby to arrive.

As for her work, Deepika’s last release was Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The director shared in an exclusive interview that the actress shot for a few days during her pregnancy, so even her child worked on the film. Deepika and Ranveer will be back in the limelight when their film ‘Singham Again’ hits the screens in November.
