Deadpool & Wolverine has finally hit theaters and you may be wondering how long the new MCU movie is.

We can confirm that Deadpool & Wolverine is running for 127 minutes and 45 secondsor nearly two hours and eight minutes if you prefer.

This makes it the longest Deadpool film to date, ahead of the first Deadpool film at 108 minutes and Deadpool 2 at 119 minutes. However, it is far from the longest MCU film, which is still Avengers: Endgame.

There’s also a post-credits scene that comes right at the end of the credits, so you’ll have to sit through the entire 127 minutes if you want to see it.

In conversation with Digital SpyDirector Shawn Levy explained why they wanted to limit the length of the film to about two hours.

“I’m personally amazed that a three-hour movie has become the accepted norm. I find it exhausting. For me, that sets the bar so high because boy, you better have created a masterpiece if you’re asking me to sit for three hours,” he noted.

“Sometimes people do that. Denis Villeneuve is capable of making films like that. (Christopher) Nolan is capable of making films like that. I think I’m pretty good at my job, Ryan is really good at his job, but the film is only as long as the story demands.

“We’re not here to indulge ourselves. We’re here to entertain you. We’re here to entertain them. And that’s why we really carefully question every joke, every scene, every second of the runtime.”

Their approach seems to have worked, because after the enthusiastic initial reactions, Deadpool & Wolverine was able to secure a new rating of 81% from the first 193 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
