Deadpool and Wolverine star Emma Corrin explains why the film gave them “such bad feelings”

Emma Corrin has joined the Deadpool and Wolverine moment when they felt “so bad”.

Corrin stars in the blockbuster as the villainous Cassandra Nova alongside Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and a number of other stars who make surprise cameo appearances. The film received mediocre reviews from critics but was widely embraced by Marvel fans – despite accusations of “terrible” CGI.

While the actor who played Princess Diana in The crownwho had previously revealed details about the portrayal of their character, now explained why watching the film evoked a “terrible” feeling among the general public.

*Spoiler alert – you have been warned*

In the film, Cassandra kills Human Torch, the Fantastic Four character played by Chris Evans in the 2005 film and its 2007 sequel. Rise of the Silver Surfer. Evans’ appearance is particularly shocking considering that the Fantastic Four films were not released as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), in which Evans played the role of Captain America.

In conversation with Brits GQCorrin, 28, said: “We saw it after the New York premiere at Lincoln Center full of fans and everyone was so excited when they saw him on the screen and then after three minutes I killed him. I felt terrible. I hid in my seat.”

Corrin continued, “Yeah, it was weird. I wouldn’t have thought that a few years ago if you had asked me.”

Of the film’s many cameos, Corrin said, “That’s something Marvel does so well. They give people what they want. They give them cameos. But they don’t use them for no reason either.”

“They’re all there for a reason. And I think you really feel that. Or, I hope people feel that, because I think they’re used really cleverly.”

Corrin previously said they were initially disappointed when the film’s director, Shawn Levy, said they “shouldn’t play Cassandra as a villain,” explaining, “I was like, what? Are you serious? After all that?”

However, the actor elaborated on Levy’s vision, revealing that the director made it clear that he wanted Corrin’s supervillain to be unpredictable.

Corrin revealed that during his stage directions, Levy asked them to “change the weather,” that is, to change their emotions instantly, so that they did not appear to be a caricature of evil.

Deadpool and Wolverine has become a huge success and is well on its way to becoming the highest-grossing film of the year. This title currently belongs Inside Out 2making 2024 a successful year for Disney after a lackluster box office year.
