Dave Grohl’s daughter appears to have deactivated her Instagram account after it was revealed that her rocker father gave birth to a fourth daughter out of wedlock.

On Tuesday, September 10, the rocker posted a statement on Instagram, sharing that he recently fathered a child with a woman outside of his marriage to longtime wife Jordyn Blum. As of Tuesday afternoon, Grohl’s 18-year-old daughter Violet’s Instagram account has been deactivated, though it’s unclear when exactly she closed the account.

Grohl has Violet and his two other daughters, Ophelia, 10, and Harper, 15, with Blum, his wife of 23 years.

“I recently became a father to a baby girl, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote in a statement shared on Instagram on September 10.

“I plan to be a loving and supportive father to her. I love my wife and children and am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he continued. “We are grateful for your consideration for all of the children involved as we move forward together.”

At the 2023 Glastonbury Festival in June 2023, Grohl introduced his eldest child on the event’s Pyramid Stage before playing a track from his band’s latest album. But here we are.

“My favorite singer in the whole world,” Grohl said as Violet came on stage. “This is a song I wrote for my mom, Violet’s grandmother. It’s called ‘Show Me How.'”

Grohl screamed “That’s my girl!” as the father-daughter duo finished the song. “I love it when you’re on stage with your daughter and you hit a wrong note,” he also joked.

Earlier this year, Grohl appeared at the 2023 Grammy Awards with his wife and three daughters, smiling together as they walked the carpet.

The musician showcased his signature rock style with black-rimmed glasses as he posed with his family on the red carpet. Blum opted for a short black sequin dress with an off-the-shoulder white lace top.

Violet paired a blazer dress and knee-high boots with red lipstick, while Harper wore a vintage floral dress with lugged boots. Ophelia posed for her family in a flowy ombre dress and a gold handbag.
