Dave Bautista walked the TIFF 2024 red carpet with a significantly changed look as he flaunted his weight loss. Several fans took to X (formerly Twitter) because they were shocked to see his new look. One concerned user asked if the retired wrestler was “losing weight for a new movie” or if he was “sick.” Another noted, “The fact that he seemingly lost muscle in a healthy way is actually a huge accomplishment!”

Bautista previously spoke about his weight loss in an interview with Chris Van Vliet. The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor said, “I’m getting super lean.” He continued, “I’m probably the lightest I’ve been since I was 19.” Bautista went on to say that at his “heaviest” he ever weighed was 370 pounds. He said, “For most of my wrestling career, I weighed about 290 pounds.” Bautista’s “The Killer’s Game” co-actress Sofia Boutella then asked him how much he weighs now. He replied that he now weighs about 240 pounds.

Bautista also said that “the nightmare began” when he gained 300 pounds while working on the 2023 film “Knock at the Cabin.” The actor continued, saying that losing the weight back has been “a challenge.” Bautista then said that he is now “really careful” about his diet.

Bautista’s transformation has undoubtedly caught fans’ attention.
