Dave Bautista believes this former WWE Champion has unlimited acting potential.

After taking the WWE world by storm as Batista and becoming a multiple world champion, Dave Bautista turned to the world of acting and impressed his fans with roles in films such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, And Knock on the hut.

In a recent interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, Bautista was asked which WWE star he thought could succeed in Hollywood. He suggested that if CM Punk decided to shift his focus away from professional wrestling, he could find success in acting.

“You know who I really overlooked as an actor? I don’t know if he hasn’t pursued it as much as he would have liked because he’s still going strong in professional wrestling, but it’s CM Punk, Phil Brooks. His acting potential is pretty unlimited. I really want to see more of him as an actor. I would really like to work with him because I think he has a passion for acting, but I think his heart is still in professional wrestling, and until he can let that go a little bit, he’ll never be able to fully immerse himself in acting, but I think Phil Brooks is a great actor.” (h/t Fightful)

Drew McIntyre stars with Dave Bautista in “The Killer’s Game”

In July 2023, it was reported that Drew McIntyre would be the latest WWE star to make his way to Hollywood, having landed a role in the action comedy thriller The murderer’s game. Dave Bautista plays the lead role in the film, portraying veteran assassin Joe Flood. An IMDB description of the film reads as follows:

A seasoned assassin is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and orders himself killed. After ordering the murder, an army of former colleagues descends on him and new information comes to light. Madness ensues.

McIntyre plays the role of Rory McKenzie, but little is currently known about his character.

The first trailer for The murderer’s game was released in June.
