The 2024 MLB season takes October baseball quite literally, as when the spooky season begins on the calendar, the MLB postseason begins on the same day. With just three days left until the end of the regular season, the teams that will compete in this year’s playoffs are not yet set in stone.

The Minnesota Twins, Seattle Mariners and Atlanta Braves are all currently outside the playoff bubble and trying to secure a spot in the postseason on the final weekend of the season. Even if one of these teams makes the playoffs, they will be tested in the wild card round and will likely face either the Houston Astros in the American League or the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League.
