Darby Allin – “I don’t want to wrestle with people who call”

During a recent interview with Metro UK Alistair McGeorge and AEW wrestler Darby Allin commented on a possible match with Ricochet, not wanting to wrestle people who just call in, and more.

Below you can see some highlights from the interview:

On the possible encounter with Ricochet: “I would love to wrestle anybody that has something to prove. So, yeah, if he has something to prove, let’s do it. I don’t want to wrestle anybody that has that ego that’s just going to call today. Then I get mad. You know, people that are just so ungrateful. I want to wrestle people that are grateful and I want to wrestle people that hold a grudge.”

About Ricochet not having the heart to just go through with it: “Don’t come here and expect it to be like you’re going to take the evening off and call them. Because I don’t think any of them – I don’t think they ever would. That’s not in their DNA. But you know, other people who come here and treat it like summer vacation are like, ‘Get the fuck out of here!'”

About not wanting to wrestle with people who call: “I don’t want to wrestle those people. I’m not going to put my life on the line for those people. But when people actually say, I have something to prove, I know what I’m capable of. I can see what AEW has given me, you know what I mean? I’ve had that grudge, I’ve always had a grudge, and I think that always will be the case, but it’s a healthy grudge.”
