Cuyahoga Valley National Park celebrates its 50th anniversary with special events through 2025

BRECKSVILLE, Ohio – Cuyahoga Valley National Park is celebrating its 50th anniversary with special celebratory events running through the end of 2025. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the park’s history from national speakers, engage with art at concerts and experience enriching adventures on the park’s trails, rails and river.

The park is working with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Conservancy and other partners to plan a series of 50th anniversary activities. Additional anniversary events have yet to be announced, but those interested can stay up to date on the park’s anniversary website at www.CVNP50.com.

“Cuyahoga Valley National Park is expanding the idea of what a national park can be,” Cuyahoga Valley National Park Superintendent Lisa Petit said in a press release. “Since the park was created by Congress on December 27, 1974, we have worked to realize its purpose as a park of, by and for the people. We invite all people to come and see for themselves that there is something for everyone and to be part of the park’s future.”

The first two celebration events are Lyceum lectures at the Happy Days Lodge, 500 W. Streetsboro St. in Peninsula:
