CHARLESTON – Charleston Southern Men’s and Women’s Cross Country announced their fall 2024 schedule Tuesday morning. The two teams will compete on identical schedules and have at least six events.
The 2024 season will begin with their annual home opener on Friday, August 30th at the CSU Buccaneer Invitational. They will then travel to the north of the state to compete in the Furman Invitational on Saturday, September 14th.
Fall continues and the Buccaneers travel across the state line to North Carolina to compete in the ECU Pirate Invitational on Friday, October 4. The regular season ends with the team flying to College Station, Texas to compete in the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, October 18.
This year, the Big South Championships will be hosted by Charleston Southern, with races taking place on Friday morning, November 1. The men’s team is seeking its fifth consecutive title. The women’s team is seeking its first title in program history after finishing second two years in a row.
The NCAA Southeast Regionals will be hosted by Winthrop this season and will take place on Friday, November 15. The meet will see the Bucs move on to Madison, Wisconsin for the NCAA Championships on Saturday, November 23.
