Construction work completed near El Cortez, guests can now access the casino more easily

Accessing a local casino in downtown Las Vegas just got easier.

Earlier this month, the El Cortez Hotel & Casino announced the completion of its Seventh Street construction project.

The project includes resurfacing, new landscaping and irrigation, street lighting improvements and a new string of lights. These improvements will improve the overall appearance of the hotel and facilitate access to the casino’s parking garages.

“The completion of the Seventh Street beautification project will make the property more accessible for locals and hotel guests,” said Kenny Epstein, CEO and chairman of the El Cortez Hotel & Casino.

“These improvements will make the area more attractive and accessible, providing a better experience for those exploring Downtown Las Vegas on foot or by car.”

Since Fremont Street receives approximately 26 million visitors annually, this development greatly improves access and increases the overall aesthetics and safety of the area.

Widened sidewalks, freshly paved streets, lush greenery, modern streetlights and charming ambient lighting create a more inviting and pleasant environment for guests approaching the El Cortez Hotel & Casino.

The property is currently undergoing a $20 million expansion, including a new high-limit lounge, two new bars and a new restaurant. Completion is scheduled for early 2025.
