Community Preseason Play: What you need to know before you get started

The Carolina Hurricanes will host their annual preseason community game against the Nashville Predators on Wednesday, October 2nd, and all ticket proceeds from the contest will benefit Hurricane Helene relief efforts. Below are things fans should consider before attending Wednesday’s game at Lenovo Center.

Hurricane relief efforts

  • Whether attending the game or not, fans can donate to hurricane relief efforts using any of the following methods:
    • Click here
    • text CanesRelief to 41444 to receive a donation link via SMS
    • text sticks to 8:45 p.m. on October 2nd

Park

  • Parking is free for all participants
  • Select lots will be open from 4 p.m
  • Fans have the opportunity to donate money in lieu of their usual parking fee at various intervals by clicking here
  • Fans can donate $10 or $20 in cash or credit card in the parking lots

Matchday routines

  • Gates open at 6 p.m
  • With a few exceptions, the event is largely open to the general public. These exceptions are:
    • The first two rows closest to the ice (seats on the glass and the row immediately behind)
    • Suites
    • The PNC Victory Club
  • Fans will not be permitted to reserve seats for friends and family to meet at a later date
  • Attendance is expected to be close to capacity, so fans are asked to use all seats in a designated row to accommodate all participants
  • Season Ticket Members may not be able to sit in their usual seat due to the nature of the event

Concessions

  • The following discounted items will be sold for $3.50 throughout the event:
    • soda
    • Tea and lemonade
    • Water
    • Popcorn
    • Hot dogs
    • Nachos
