Commander’s vice president is SUSPENDED after branding his own team’s black players ‘homophobic,’ calling NFL stars ‘dumb as hell’ and calling fans ‘alcoholics’ in a scathing video secretly recorded on a date

The Washington Commanders organization has suspended an employee after he was caught making controversial and scathing comments about the NFL, its players and its fans.

Rael Enteen, the Washington DC franchise’s vice president of content, was secretly filmed on a date with an undercover reporter making shocking claims about the team’s players and fan base.

Enteen, who has worked for the Commanders for four years, was caught branding the team’s black players “homophobic.”

He told the O’Keefe Media journalist: “A large portion (of the Commanders’ roster) is made up of very low-income African-Americans who come from a community that is inherently very homophobic.”

“I love hip-hop, hip-hop is very homophobic,” he added. “It’s a cultural thing that I hope gets better.”

“The language used in the video contradicts our values at the Commanders organization,” a Commanders spokesperson said in a statement to DailyMail.com.

“We have suspended the employee pending the completion of the internal investigation and will refrain from further comment at this time.”

Enteen’s allegations of homophobia went beyond the team’s black community, as he also claimed that 50 percent of the players are white and religious, suggesting that they too are homophobic in line with anti-LGBTQIA+ Christian teachings.

In addition to accusing the players of being homophobic, Enteen also branded many in the league as “stupid” and suggested that the physical strain of the game was actually leading to a decline in their intelligence.

“There’s obviously a spectrum. Some are stupid and some are very smart,” he said during what appeared to be a second date.

“I think it’s also a really sad but true fact that some people start out smart and then get hit on the head so many times that they don’t stay smart.”

His attacks were not limited to the players. Enteen also targeted the Commanders’ fan base and fans across the NFL, calling them “mouth breathers.”

“Most NFL fans, I would say, are high school graduate alcoholics,” he told the anonymous reporter.

He continued to describe football fans as “violent” because fights often break out in the stands at games.

Enteen went on to criticize the NFL’s social justice initiatives, such as the league’s commitment to Black Lives Matter, pride, diversity, equity and inclusion, calling them “performative” for the sake of good publicity.

“It’s about making as much money as possible,” he claimed.

Not only did he criticize the league’s initiatives, but Enteen also denounced NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as a “$50 million puppet.”

He claimed that Goodell was controlled by the owners of the NFL and accused Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, of actually pulling the strings.

He also claimed that Jones harbors racist and homophobic prejudices. “I think he hates gays and blacks,” he said.

Enteen joined the Commanders in 2020 as Senior Director of Content Strategy before being promoted to Vice President of Content in April 2022.

Previously, he served as Director of Digital and Social Media for the New York Jets for two years between 2016 and 2018.

The controversy comes just a year after new owner Josh Harris took over the franchise following Dan Snyder’s turbulent and scandal-ridden tenure.

After years of controversy, Snyder sold the franchise in July 2023 for a reported $6 billion.

The longtime Redskins fan had spent $800 million on the club in 1999 but was unable to build a successful culture in Washington as he struggled with management, minority partners, local government officials, the NFL, the media and, most importantly, angry fans.

While the Redskins were consistently among the title contenders in the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and into the early ’90s, Snyder’s erratic decisions led to instability and massive turnover.

During the Snyder era, the team had 27 starting quarterbacks, 10 head coaches, and a winning percentage of .427.

During Snyder’s tenure, the team was repeatedly criticized for its former nickname “Redskins,” which is considered an insult to Native Americans.

Snyder fought the change for years, but Washington finally dropped the name “Redskins” in 2020 amid the George Floyd protests.

This change – first to the placeholder “Washington Football Team” and then to “Commanders” – also angered many fans and conservatives.

But Snyder’s problems didn’t end there.

Sexual harassment allegations against team employees ranged from inappropriate comments to creating an offensive behind-the-scenes video of a cheerleading calendar shoot in 2008, according to the 2020 Washington Post report that first uncovered the allegations.

Snyder is also accused of asking a cheerleader to go to a hotel room with his boyfriend so they could “get to know each other better.” He is also accused of inappropriately touching a co-worker at a team dinner – both of which he denies.

The NFL has since opened a second sexual harassment investigation into the team to review additional allegations of misconduct, including former team employee Tiffani Johnston’s claim that Snyder grabbed her thigh at a team dinner and pressured her to get into a limousine.

Snyder has denied this claim.
