The Washington Commanders’ running game is successful at the beginning of Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels gets his first experience in a primetime football game, facing another former LSU quarterback, Joe Burrow. Daniels was in good form, completing five of his six passes for 79 yards.
However, Washington managed to reach the end zone on the running game. Running backs Austin Ekeler and Brian Robinson Jr. have now scored a touchdown each. Robinson opened the Commanders’ scoring drive, tying the game at seven points, and Ekeler ran 24 yards to the finish line to put them ahead.

This is a positive thing for the Commanders, as their two-running-back approach appears to be paying off. The two play different styles, which, along with their dual-threat quarterback, adds more dynamism to the offense.
The Commanders now lead the Bengals and will play from the front as soon as they get the ball to start the second half. The defense has the ability to get a stop and open the game for Washington.
