The Washington Commanders have suspended a manager who made derogatory remarks about the team’s players: Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

According to ESPN’s John Keim, the Commanders said Rael Enteen, vice president of content, was suspended for making remarks to an undercover reporter from O’Keefe Media Group in which he called the team’s players homophobic, Jones racist and homophobic, and Goodell a “$50 million puppet.”

Enteen has worked for the Commanders organization for the past four years and spent two years with the New York Jets before joining Washington. The O’Keefe Media Group released a social media video explaining that he met the undercover reporter through the dating app Hinge and met up with her twice at local restaurants.

Enteen reportedly told the reporter, “Over 50 percent of our membership is religious and God says, ‘Fuck the gays.’ Your interpretation. I don’t believe any of it. Another large portion are low-income African-Americans who come from a community that is inherently very homophobic.”

He also said, “I don’t think the commissioner of the NFL hates gays or blacks. Jerry Jones, who actually runs the NFL, hates gays and blacks, in my opinion.”

Enteen also questioned the intelligence of football players, calling them “dumb as hell” and saying he believes those who “get hit in the head a few times” are more susceptible to conspiracy theories.

Enteen also made derogatory remarks about football fans and questioned the integrity of the league’s social justice initiatives, which he described as “performative.”

“The language used in the video is contrary to our values at the Commanders organization,” a spokesperson for the team said in a statement. “We have suspended the employee pending an investigation and will refrain from further comment at this time.”
