NBC Sports Bet Best Bet

Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) has the following top picks for Saturday’s game between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Colorado State Rams:

“I’ll be in Denver watching this game from a sports bar or something because I want to experience Colorado like a local at Colorado State. I’m betting +116 on Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders to score more than 2.5 passing touchdowns. Sanders threw three second-half touchdowns in last year’s OT thriller and finished the game with four total touchdowns through the air and 348 yards on 38 successful passes, 47 pass attempts and one interception.

Colorado is unlikely to reach the end zone unless Sanders throws the ball, which with this lackluster offensive line and running game should be the play at least 90% of the time. Since the start of 2023, there have been nine games Colorado has won or lost by single digits. In those games, Sanders threw at least two touchdowns in eight of those nine games and three or more in five games. For more money, I like Shedeur Sanders over 2.5 passing TDs at +116 odds.”

“SEC games always have a lot of betting and Week 3 saw the most action. Alabama is the most popular team to bet on on Saturday. Bettors are confident that Texas and Georgia will also be above their numbers. If one of those teams doesn’t cover, that would be good for the sportsbook.” – Michael Ranftle, Senior Trader, BetMGM
