Coldplay concert in India 2025: BookMyShow crashes minutes before tickets go on sale; IRCTC and other memes flood the internet

Thousands of enthusiastic fans were frustrated on Sunday when the ticket platform BookMyShow crashed just a few minutes earlier Coldplay concert Tickets should go on sale. The British rock band brings their “Music of the Spheres World Tour” to Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18 and 19, 2025, marking her return to India after an 8-year hiatus.
At 12 o’clock, when Ticket sales were due to begin, BookMyShow’s website and app became unresponsive, preventing fans from accessing the ticket page. Social media platforms were quickly flooded with complaints and memes as users expressed their disappointment.
“I never understood why on earth BookMyShow was chosen as the ticketing partner for bookings. They messed up with the World Cup tickets and now with the Coldplay scene. The app crashed,” wrote one frustrated fan on X (formerly Twitter).
As soon as sales began, many users reported ongoing problems with the website and were unable to complete the booking process. This meant that many fans were unable to get tickets.
