Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has expanded its cryptocurrency offerings for customers in New York, adding five new digital assets to its platform. Starting today, New Yorkers can trade NEAR Protocol (NEAR), Aero (AERO), VeChain (VET), VeThor Token (VTHO), and PayPal USD (PYUSD) on Coinbase’s website and mobile apps.

This expansion represents a significant step for Coinbase as the company looks to expand its presence in one of the most heavily regulated cryptocurrency markets in the U.S. By adding these new assets, the platform will provide New York-based traders and investors with more options to diversify their portfolios.

Coinbase’s move is part of the company’s broader strategy to offer a diverse range of cryptocurrencies and attract both retail and institutional investors.

Previously, Coinbase also added five more digital assets, such as Render Token (RNDR) and Hedera (HBAR), to its New York offering in June. This approach has typically resulted in increased market exposure and liquidity.

Although the recent additions have not yet caused any notable price changes, the new offerings could potentially generate significant interest. For example, NEAR Protocol (NEAR) saw a slight decline of 1.69% to $3.94 and Aero (AERO) fell 2.70% to $0.639.

VeChain (VET) and VeThor Token (VTHO), on the other hand, saw minor gains, with prices increasing by 0.37% and 1.17%, respectively. PayPal USD (PYUSD) remained stable at $1.00, up 0.05%.

This expansion not only diversifies Coinbase’s offerings, but also reflects ongoing efforts to increase exposure to the New York cryptocurrency market. As more assets become available, traders and investors can look forward to more opportunities and increased market activity.
