Travis Kelce was once again a shadow of his former self for the Kansas City Chiefs after Taylor Swift missed her first NFL game of the season on Sunday night.

And while he didn’t stand a chance in the Chiefs’ 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons, the Chiefs tight end cut a pathetic figure on the sidelines in a clip that went viral on social media.

An annoyed Kelce, who had just four catches for 30 yards in Atlanta, could be seen rubbing his right eye before staring despondently into space as he sat on the bench at the end of the first half.

Fans were quick to notice his dejected body language, with one writing on X: “This man looks TIRED.”

Another posted after Taylor’s no-show: “He got swiped.”

A third sentence: “Travis Kelce looks absolutely DONE.”

One even went so far as to conclude: “This is his last season, whether they win three games in a row or not. I don’t think football means anything to him anymore.”

It was an unusually slow start to the season for the 34-year-old, who is looking to add a fourth Super Bowl ring to his collection in 2024.

His return against the Falcons means he has now only 69 yards in three games, although he has doubled his pass receptions to eight.

Kelce’s latest bad night came after Swift missed a Chiefs game for the first time this season.

The pop megastar was nowhere to be seen in Atlanta despite her busy schedule as she enjoyed a break from her international Eras tour.

On Saturday, Swift was spotted enjoying a relaxed evening with her best friend Gigi Hadid in New York City, where she wore a cool plaid miniskirt as they grabbed a bite to eat at The Corner Store restaurant in SoHo.

And once again, the Chiefs tight end failed to exert any real influence on the proceedings.

He had four catches for just 30 yards that night and went down in history as another subpar performance.

But even though many were expecting her to perform in Atlanta, she turned down the chance to follow Kelce and Kansas City on tour.

Swift attended the Chiefs’ first two games of the 2024 season, both of which were played in Kansas City.

In addition, she logged thousands of air miles following the team last season, even flying over 5,000 miles from Tokyo to Las Vegas to make it to the Super Bowl in February.

Swift was not at the Falcons game, although Kansas City made a clever nod to her in a post on X before the game.

Alongside a photo of Kelce arriving at the stadium, the Chiefs captioned the post: “Happiness. Fun. Magic.”

This caption was a reference to Swift’s famous speech at the VMA Awards earlier this month, in which she praised her husband for the “fun” and “magic” he brings to her.

Her numerous fans liked the allusion very much and expressed their approval in their replies.

“The headline is perfect,” said another.

“I see what you did there,” added a third fan.

After Swift’s absence became apparent, the Chiefs survived their first away test of the season on Sunday evening, beating the Falcons 22-17.

Patrick Mahomes opened the season with an interception in his third consecutive game, but Rashee Rice helped his team to a 3-0 start with 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.

With 2:26 minutes left in the game, the Falcons got the ball back, but they were unable to score a goal to take the lead in front of their home crowd.
