EXCLUSIVE: Tasha Smith (Bad Boys: Ride or Die), Chris Perfetti (Abbott Elementary School), Francois Arnaud (Yellow Jackets), Susan Park (Shining Valley) and Cree (Turtles all the way down) are the latest additions to the cast of Twinlessthe black comedy written and directed by James Sweeney for Republic Pictures.
Details of the newcomers’ roles are still under wraps. As previously announced, Dylan O’Brien, Aisling Franciosi, Lauren Graham and Sweeney will also star in the film, which is about two young men who met in a twin support group and enter into an unlikely bromance.
David Permut and Sweeney are producing, with O’Brien and Miky Lee serving as executive producers. Three Point Capital is financing the film, with Ali Jazayeri, David Gendron and Liz Destro also serving as executive producers. Alex Astrachan, head of development at Permut Presentations, is a co-producer. Republic Pictures owns worldwide rights to the film.
Recently published in Bad Boys: Ride or Diewith Lee Daniels’ The Redemption Smith will be released on Netflix on August 30th and has also appeared in films such as Dolemit is my name And Retreat for couplesas well as series like Survival of the fattest, The First Women’s ClubAnd Rich.
His breakthrough came with the role of Jacob Hill in the ABC series Abbott Elementary Schoolwhich returns on October 9th with the fourth season, Perfetti was also seen on The resident, In the dark, The night of, Seek and other series. He also appeared in the Oscar-winning drama Sound of metaland the Oscar-nominated short film The Anne Frank Gift Shop.
Arnaud is best known for his work on series such as Yellow Jackets, Plan B, surface, The Moodys, Blind spot, Midnight, Texas, Unreal And The Borgiasamong other things.
Park’s film credits include Always be my maybeBrie Larson’s Unicorn Shopand 2016 Ghost Hunters. TV credits include High Desert, Shining Valley, Snowpiercer, Thornbush, Deputy Headmaster And Fresh from the boatamong many others.
Cree recently starred in Max’s adaptation of John Green’s novel Turtles all the way downShe also appeared in the ABC show Big SkyMax’s And just like that…and Netflix Mr Iglesias.
