We asked you for your thoughts on Joao Felix’s upcoming arrival at Chelsea.
Opinions were divided among fans – here are some comments from supporters who are against the signing:
Grahame: Ridiculous – this shotgun approach is illogical. Replace a captain and best player from last season with someone who contributed nothing last time. The owners are tearing this club apart. Players are being locked out and more and more money is being wasted.
Chris: Felix is another ridiculous signing. He was deceptive in his last spell in charge. He looked decent in his first game, then got sent off and did nothing after that as he couldn’t cope with the pace and physicality of the Premier League. In the 60 years I’ve supported Chelsea I’ve never felt more dejected than I do now. Absolute chaos.
Thomas: Terrible move. He was a disappointing loan the first time around – such an overrated player and the fact we’re getting rid of Gallagher as part of the ‘bargain’ makes it a bitter pill to swallow. I’m sure we’ll make even worse moves before the transfer window closes!
Emma: Felix will not improve the team. This is a waste of money. He did not improve the team on his first loan. He did not improve Barcelona. This will be another unsuccessful season for Chelsea because they have not solved their biggest problem. Chelsea need an established striker.
Terrence: Things are getting more ridiculous by the day. Bringing back Felix, who was previously an ineffective player at Chelsea, and Gallagher leaving is difficult to understand. The problem is that there is no proven goalscorer. At the moment Chelsea could play a game between the first team and the second team and it would end 0-0. The manager/coach should be the boss.
Stuart: The club is a mess – Felix did nothing in his first spell in charge, who says he will do anything this time? Chilwell, Gallagher and Sterling are out, there will be no experienced players left, Reece and Enzo have hotheads who could be captain, I’m worried about the future of the club, too many players – who needs six goalkeepers?
