Derick Dillard finally got to kiss the bride! Jill Duggar is now Mrs. Dillard after she and Derick were married (and kissed for the first time) on June 21 in front of more than 1,000 guests at The Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas. Jill wore a beautiful lace wedding dress with cap sleeves, an A-line skirt, and a matching lace veil.
Five of Jill’s sisters were bridesmaids, two of her brothers were groomsmen, five were ushers, another brother and nephew were ring bearers, and the rest of her sisters and a niece were flower girls, according to People. Derick’s brother was best man and Josh Duggar hosted the reception, which featured an assortment of fun salty and sweet snacks. Volunteers made more than 600 cupcakes, 3,000 chocolate chip cookies, and 3,000 root beer floats!

Michelle Duggar’s wedding dress and the police uniform that belonged to Derick’s father Rick Dillard were seen at the ceremony. Rick died in 2008 and Derick’s mother Cathy is battling cancer but was able to come to the ceremony straight from the hospital.
“We want to reflect on the meaning of marriage,” Jill told People. “And what it means to be married.” And as for their first kiss? “It was worth the wait.”
Jill and Derick left the reception in an adorable pickup truck decorated with blue and white pom poms and filled with balloons. Their names and wedding date were posted on the side along with a bunting banner.
The rehearsal dinner was also joyful and emotional: Derick asked the more than 100 guests to pray for his mother, and Jim Bob Duggar had to face the fact that his daughter was actually getting married.

“I’ve been crying half the day and I’m making jokes to keep from crying,” said Jim Bob. Michelle and Jim Bob are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this summer.
The menu included beef brisket, chicken thighs and baked beans, as well as an ice cream sundae station. Friends and family shared many stories about the couple.
