Change of plans: Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Rebbe will attend his grandson’s wedding in Monsey

Doctors and Askanim have now decided that the Toldos Avrum Yitzchok Rebbe will remain in New York.

He will attend his grandson’s wedding and lead the fundraising campaign next week.

In light of the recent announcement that the Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Rebbe, Shlita, will return to Eretz Yisroel immediately after Shabbos Nachamu, it has been confirmed that the Rebbe will unfortunately miss his grandson’s wedding scheduled for next week in Monsey.

As reported in the Rockland Daily, the wedding of Chosson, a son of the Rebbe’s late son, Harav Arye Leibish Teitelbaum, Hy’d, who was tragically killed in the 2008 Mumbai attack, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 21 Av, at Tiferes Elka.

This decision is due to the Rebbe’s weakened condition and the doctors’ recommendation that he return home immediately after Shabbat. For this reason, a fundraising campaign was launched this evening, scheduled for next week, and will continue tomorrow. The Chasidim are participating eagerly despite the Rebbe’s absence.
