Payton Pritchard pulled out all the stops and got married over the weekend.
Boston Celtics guard Pritchard tied the knot with his girlfriend Emma MacDonald on Sunday. A notable part of the ceremony, which took place in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, was that the officiant was none other than… former NBA star Blake Griffin.
Celtics forward Jaylen Brown shared a video on Instagram of Griffin performing his refereeing duties for the pair.

Griffin, the six-time NBA All-Star, played with the Celtics during the 2022-23 season and was a teammate of Pritchard. The Celtics tried hard to convince Griffin to return for the 2023-24 season (when Boston would win the NBA title). But Griffin declined for a notable reason and announced his official retirement from the NBA just a few months later.
Now 35, Griffin has moved on to exciting side missions. Pritchard, 26, had a big year in 2024, winning his first championship ring and accomplishing some amazing feats along the way.
