On July 16, at approximately 10:35 p.m., a suspect approached a victim in the 1000 block of U Street, Northwest, and snatched the victim’s cellphone before fleeing the scene. Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect that are publicly available.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is asked to avoid confrontation and contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and charges.

Lodi resident wins $10,000 on Ohio Lottery Billion scratch-off ticket
LODI, OH — An Ohio Lottery player won $10,000 after purchasing a scratch-off ticket called “Billion” at Miller’s Market on Wooster Street in Lodi.
After mandatory federal and state taxes, the winner will receive approximately $7,200. Billion is a $50 scratch-off game that offers a $1 million top prize annually for 20 years. As of August 8, there are still three top prizes left to be won in this game.

PA Lottery offers Steelers prizes in second chance and online drawing
MIDDLETOWN, PA – The Pennsylvania Lottery has opened the Steelers Second Chance and special online sweepstakes, offering players the chance to win tickets to a Steelers home game for the 2024 season.
Through September 12, players can enter $5 non-winning Steelers Fast Play game tickets into the Second Chance Drawing, with each ticket containing five entries. A separate online prize drawing runs from August 7 through September 11, where online players can win tickets to a regular-season Steelers home game by playing the online version of the Steelers game.
Entries can be submitted through the VIP Players Club on palottery.com or via the official app. Winners will be announced on the website.
