Cedar Point’s newest record-breaking tilting roller coaster will open in 2025

In early summer 2025, roller coaster fans will be able to ride Cedar Point’s newest addition – a record-breaking tilting roller coaster called Siren’s Curse.

Riders soar 58 meters into the air and then plunge down a nearly 900-meter-long track at nearly 100 km/h. The roller coaster features 13 weightless airtime moments and two 360-degree zero-gravity barrel rolls, culminating in a high-speed triple-down element with a winding and banked track, according to the park.

“Record-breaking thrills have always been at the heart of Cedar Point’s roller coasters, and Siren’s Curse lives up to that standard,” said Carrie Boldman, vice president and general manager of Cedar Point. “The entire ride is a nonstop action experience, but that first perilous bank where you hold on tight – looking straight down – waiting for the track to snap into place will be an unforgettable moment that our fans will love. It’s the first of its kind at Cedar Point, and we’re excited to offer it to our guests.”

The ride will feature integrated audio and lighting effects that tell the story of “mysterious creatures that live beneath the surface of Lake Erie; often spoken of – but never sighted. The lake’s Sirens, who lured sailors to their underwater doom with their sweet, seductive songs, will eventually come ashore and attempt to entangle guests in an eerie two-minute fate of nonstop roller coaster innovation.”

The attraction is located opposite the Iron Dragon roller coaster. Siren’s Curse brings the total number of roller coasters open in the park to 19.
