Zeta-Jones celebrated her 55th birthday on September 25, the same day her Oscar-winning husband turned 80. Her post sparked quite a reaction in the comments.

“Let’s be fair: If Catherine looks like this NOW, every day is Michael’s birthday!” someone marveled.

“Happy birthday 🎊🎂✨️🍾🥂 Absolutely stunning,” wrote another person, adding a fire emoji at the end of the comment.

“Listen, if my body looks like this at her age I will post all the nude photos and not care what you think,” someone else gushed.

Zeta-Jones also acknowledged their birthdays with a tamer throwback photo on Instagram, in which Douglas stands behind Zeta-Jones and leans in to give her a kiss.

“Happy birthday to Michael and me!! This is how we were on our birthday 25 years ago! I love you with all my heart,” she wrote under the photo.

Douglas returned the favor with a birthday post of his own in honor of his wife’s big day.

“To my birthday sister, I love you with all my heart! May your new year be the best! @catherinezetajones,” he wrote under a black and white photo of her.

“Thank you, honey!!!” Zeta-Jones wrote in the comments with a party popper emoji.

The couple married in 2000 in a spectacular wedding in New York City. They have two children, Dylan (24) and Carys (21). Douglas also has 45-year-old Cameron Douglas with his ex-wife Diandra Luker.

After Carys graduated from high school, Douglas said he and Zeta-Jones began a new path as a couple.

“It’s scary. Really. You look at each other and think, ‘Well, it’s just you and me, baby,'” he told TODAY in 2021.

“You forget how many conversations you hide afterward when you’re talking about your kids and what’s going to happen next, and one day you’re just looking at each other. But now we’ve been together 20 years, so all those good years of paying attention to each other are now paying off.”
