Prince’s dancer Catherine Vernice “Cat” Glover has died at the age of 60.

“It is with great sadness that we officially announce the passing of Catherine Vernice Glover – aka ‘Cat’. Please allow her children, family and friends privacy during this difficult time. A further statement will be released in due course,” said the announcement, which was shared on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, according to TMZ.

The note ended with: “Dance with the angels, we love you” and three hearts.

Cat worked with Prince as a choreographer, background singer and dancer and even rapped on his albums.

Her death came eight years after Prince died of an accidental fentanyl overdose at the age of 57.

In 1989 she released her EP Catwoman.

She was born on July 23, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois.
