Country music fans are in for a treat! Two of country music’s biggest stars have teamed up for a brand new song, and some people are already deeming it award-worthy.

Carrie Underwood and Cody Johnson have taken to social media to announce a new duet that will be released on September 27. “I’m Gonna Love You” brings together two of country music’s biggest stars. Cody gave his fans a glimpse of the music video on Instagram, and while it doesn’t reveal much about the song, it’s still terrifying.

Cody wrote in the post: “I’m so excited to announce that ‘I’m Gonna Love You’ is coming out next Friday 9/27. Thank you @carrieunderwood for supporting me and making it so special. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”

Fans joined in the excitement, leaving messages like:

  • “I haven’t even heard it yet, but I think it’s going to be the duet of the year.”

  • “The most exciting collaboration in a long time! 😍🔥”

  • “This will be number 1 and will be video of the year.”

Cody revealed a little more about the song on X. The short clip doesn’t include Carrie’s vocals, but Cody sings, “Stars will light up the midnight sky. Suns will burn on the Fourth of July. The tide will turn with the pull of the moon. And I will love you.”

This new song may come as a surprise to fans, but it’s been in the works for some time. According to Taste of Country, Cody planned to include it on his 2023 release. leatherbut decided to save it for a “Part B” of this album, which has not yet been announced.
