Carrie Underwood went for an outdoor adventure where she ditched her signature glitter and fringe hairstyle in favor of waders and a hoodie, something that surprised some fans.

On Saturday, September 14, the 41-year-old actress took to Instagram to post a carousel of photos from her fly fishing trip in Montana. In a series of 12 photos, Carrie can be seen with her husband Mike Fisher and posing alone with what is presumably her catch of the day.

While it’s unrealistic to expect the “All-American Girl” singer to be dressed to the nines every single day of her life, with lots of makeup and rhinestones, many fans were shocked by her more casual look.

“I think she’s great but honestly I don’t recognize her. She is and always has been so naturally beautiful,” asked one fan. “She really looks different. Still absolutely gorgeous! Did she get her teeth done? I’m not bad-mouthing her, just wondering,” asked another fan.

Some people found Carrie’s new look refreshing. “Pictures like these show how wonderfully down to earth you are! A true country girl,” one fan exclaimed. “This is the Carrie Underwood I love to see,” wrote another. “Can this grown woman post something without someone commenting on her appearance? You guys need to worry about yourselves, not Carrie Underwood’s teeth. For God’s sake,” another fan chimed in.

While it’s really nobody’s business how Carrie dresses or accentuates her face, some fans were quick to remind others of the singer’s gruesome fall in November 2017. While walking her dogs, Carrie missed a step and fell face-first, breaking her wrist and requiring over 40 stitches to repair the damage inside and outside her mouth. Following the incident, the country star admitted that her confidence suffered as a result.

So maybe it would be beneficial for fans to show compassion before making an immediate judgment and then leave the comments section.
