Cardinals dominate Rams, win 41-10

For the first time in his career, quarterback Kyler Murray had a “perfect” game.

Murray posted a passer rating of 158.3 in the Cardinals’ 41-10 win over the Rams on Sunday and played very well in that landslide victory.

The quarterback finished the game with 17 of 21 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He also managed 59 rushing yards on five attempts to help the Cardinals to victory.

Arizona led by 31 points in the fourth quarter, pulled Murray with about eight minutes left in the game and brought in substitute Clayton Tune.

After catching just one short pass last week, rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. caught four passes for 130 yards with his first two touchdowns this week. He opened the scoring with a 23-yard pass and then caught a 60-yard pass for a one-play touchdown drive.

But Harrison had no reception after the first quarter.

But he didn’t really need one. James Conner finished a dominant running day with 122 yards on 21 carries and a 5-yard touchdown. In total, the Cardinals managed 231 yards on 40 carries – an average of 5.8 yards per carry.

The Rams have struggled to get anything going on offense, and now they’re down another player. Cooper Kupp left the game with ankle issues after sustaining the injury late in the first half. He caught four passes for 37 yards before leaving the game.

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles’ other top receiver, was placed on the injured list earlier this week.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford finished the day with 19 of 27 passes for 216 yards. The Rams finished the game with 53 rushing yards, while Kyren Williams managed 12 carries for 25 yards.

With the current score at 1:1, the Cardinals will stay at home and face the Lions in Week 3. It should be an exciting duel.

The Rams are 0-2 for the first time under head coach Sean McVay – the first time overall since 2011. They play their first home game next week against the 49ers.
