Car accident “puts things in perspective,” “body feels great” on return to training

The collision occurred on Andrews’ way to practice at the Under Armour Performance Center in Baltimore. Team medical staff subsequently examined Andrews, who appeared to have sustained no injuries and was attending meetings that day.

However, with a long season ahead of him, the situation required Andrews to take his time returning to the field.

When asked for details about any complaints, Andrews did not provide any information.

“I’m moving forward,” Andrews said. “I’m feeling really good. I’m excited. I’m looking forward to this game. It’s a big game. The guys have been working hard. My body feels great.”

Looking ahead, Andrews and Co. will face the Chiefs, two-time Super Bowl champions, in the 2024 NFL Kickoff Game on Thursday. It’s a rematch of the AFC Championship Game in which Kansas City knocked off the Ravens and went on to dominate them in the postseason.

This was Andrews’ first appearance of the season after missing seven games due to a broken leg.

However, he has no intention of giving greater importance to the opponent he faces or playing some kind of revenge game. He would rather take things step by step to achieve Baltimore’s ultimate goal.

“I think for us, it’s the first game of the year,” Andrews said when asked if he would play KC again. “We’re trying to work toward one goal, and that’s to be the best team in the NFL, and that starts this weekend. We’re not looking too far into it. It’s our first game. It is what it is. They’re an incredible organization, an incredible team, and we’ve got to be ready to battle.”
