Sports news

Alvarez by unanimous decision: “The odds suggest that Berlanga has a chance as a puncher at best, but even that is unlikely. Canelo has an iron jaw, as evidenced by the fact that he has hardly ever been shaken and has never been down in his 65-fight career. Is Berlanga really the guy who can take the win from him? Canelo hasn’t won by stoppage in almost four years, so an absolutely dominant victory by unanimous decision in 12 rounds is the best bet.”

Fan page MMA

Alvarez by stoppage: “Alvarez will be patient, process Berlanga’s actions and act accordingly. Watch for Alvarez to stop Berlanga in the first half of the fight when the New Yorker decides to attack.”

Action Network

Alvarez. “Canelo wins by KO/TKO between rounds 7-12.”

El Paso Times

Alvarez wins by knockout in the ninth round.
