There are few players in the NFL who live up to their nickname more than New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner. And while he had to earn the nickname from his teammates and coaches, it quickly stuck after an incredible rookie season.
In his first year with the Jets, the Cincinnati product worked with the Buffalo Wild Wings – a combination that could hardly be more perfect.
Gardner got his own sauce in 2022, as “Sauce Sauce” was created based on the cornerback’s love of barbecue and hot sauce. According to BWW’s press release about the sauce, it was described as “a smoky, sweet and spicy BBQ sauce that will appeal to your taste buds and bring it home on your favorite wings and sandwiches.”
And now, lovers of sauce (and gravy) have a chance to snag a free bottle of Sauce Gardner. Buffalo Wild Wings has introduced a Sauce Gardner grab machine, giving fans the chance to snag their own free bottle of the cornerback’s zesty sauce.

Gardner also seemed surprised by the new machine.
The Jets cornerback expressed his surprise at the promotion on X (formerly Twitter) and urged his New York fans to stop by the venue to win a bottle of Sauce’s sauce for themselves.

Whether the Wing franchise will add more claw machine locations (or perhaps some other “secret sauce”) remains to be seen, but with this kind of reach, anything is possible in the future.
