Bruce Springsteen says America has reached civil war-level division in support of Kamala Harris

While Bruce Springsteen knows that his voice is no more important than that of any other American, he is also aware that his platform is far more influential than most. That’s why the “Born in the USA” rocker officially supported Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in a passionate Instagram video on Thursday.

“Friends, fans and the press have asked me who I support in this most important election, and knowing my opinions are no more or less important than those of my fellow citizens, here is my answer: “I” “I support Kamala Harris as president and Tim Walz as vice president and oppose Donald Trump and JD Vance,” he began.

“Here’s why: As we approach one of the most consequential elections in our country’s history, perhaps not since the Civil War has this great country felt as politically, spiritually and emotionally divided as it did then. “It doesn’t have to be this way,” Springsteen continued. “The shared values, the shared stories that make us a great and united nation are waiting to be rediscovered and told again.”

“It takes time, hard work, intelligence, faith and women and men who have the welfare of the nation at heart,” he admitted. “America is the most powerful nation on earth, not only because of its overwhelming military or economic power, but also because of what it stands for, what it means, what it believes; Freedom, social justice, equal opportunities, the right to be and love whoever you want. These are the things that make America great.”

The legendary singer then switched gears to explain why Donald Trump and JD Vance aren’t fit for the White House.

“Donald Trump is the most dangerous presidential candidate of my lifetime. “His disregard for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from being president ever again,” Springsteen said. “He doesn’t understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American. On the other hand, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are committed to a vision of this country that respects and includes everyone, regardless of class, religion, race, political viewpoint, or sexual identity, and that grows our economy in a way that benefits everyone , not just a few like me. This is the vision of America that I have consistently written about for 55 years.”

“Everyone sees things differently and I respect your decision as a fellow citizen. But like you, I only have one voice and it is one of the most valuable possessions I have,” he concluded. “That’s why I will be casting my vote on November 5th – Harris and Tim Walz. Thanks for listening.”

Springsteen joins a growing list of celebrities who have spoken out ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
